Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Timber Frame Designer based in Neath, operated in a hybrid working model allowing for some work from home flexibility. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing timber frame structures, creating technical drawings, collaborating with the production team, and ensuring that designs meet client requirements and industry standards. Tasks will include interpreting architectural plans, producing detailed drawings, and incorporating feedback to enhance design accuracy. Effective communication with stakeholders and adherence to industry regulations are vital aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Revit, or other relevant tools
• Experience in timber frame design and understanding of structural engineering principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical troubleshooting and design optimization
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with clients, architects, and the production team
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure designs comply with building regulations and company standards
• Relevant educational qualifications in architecture, construction, or engineering
• Knowledge of Posi-Joist and SIP systems will be advantageous
