Job Description
As a
Graduate Technology Developer
, you will work as part of project teams across UKAEA, supported by senior colleagues, developing an understanding of best-practice technology development through training and hands-on experience, and applying these learnings to small-scale projects or workstreams within larger initiatives.
Your core responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge and understanding of fusion relevant technical topics, especially relevant to the development of efficient test programme design. Apply knowledge learned to assigned projects.
- Deliver, with support, small scale test rig projects, liaising with customers, technicians and workshops/manufacturers.
- Support the development of new test rigs and facilities for technology development and component testing in representative extreme environments.
- Perform a variety of technical tasks designed to provide experience & familiarisation with staff, methods, practices, & programs of the Group and wider Division.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of fusion relevant topics and apply this learning to assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 or '26
- Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Driven, with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges
- Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
