Front of House Team Leader – Join Our Coastal Crew

We're a friendly, independent bar restaurant tucked away on the stunning North Norfolk coast – and we're looking for a welcoming, hands-on Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team.

The Role

As the face of our restaurant, you'll play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience for every guest. From greeting customers with a smile to serving food and drinks with care, you'll help maintain a warm, professional atmosphere that reflects our coastal charm. Whether you're taking orders, managing reservations, or supporting the team during busy shifts, your energy and attention to detail will make all the difference.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and manage bookings efficiently
  • Take food and drink orders accurately, noting any dietary requirements
  • Serve dishes and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience
  • Keep the front of house area clean, organised, and welcoming
  • Assist with basic food prep when needed, following safety standards
  • Handle cash and card transactions using the till system
  • Respond to guest enquiries with friendliness and efficiency
  • Support colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth service
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times
  • Assist with rota planning and shift coordination to ensure adequate staffing and smooth operations

What We're Looking For

  • Previous hospitality experience is a plus, but not essential – full training provided
  • Friendly, approachable personality with great guest service skills
  • Basic food safety knowledge and prep experience (advantageous but not required)
  • Confidence with simple math for billing and transactions

Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to upsell tactfully and boost guest satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and a positive attitude towards teamwork
