**The Pheasant Hotel are recruiting for a Front Of House Host to join their hardworking team.**

We are currently seeking to recruit a Front of House Host, on a Permanent Full-time or Part-time basis. Previous experience would be desirable however, full training can be given. You will greet guests as they enter the Restaurant and Bars areas and show them to their tables. You will engage with guests to ensure that the food and beverage provision is as it should be You will ensure that the front of house assistants are well instructed and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Live in staff accommodation available.
- Greeting guests as they enter, the Restaurant and bars areas.
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
- Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
- Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering queries.
- To ensure that restaurants, bars and cloakrooms are clean, well maintained and stocked with the stipulated requirements, and that table appointments, including flower arrangements are impeccable.
- To ensure that Front of House Assistants are always correctly and smartly dressed, and that they offer professional and courteous service to their customers.
- To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas.
- To be fully conversant with all statutory requirements regarding a food and beverage operation, that all licences, including special licences, are timeously applied for and that the conditions affecting the issues of a liquor licence are not jeopardised.
- To ensure that regular stock takes are conducted.
- To ensure that an effective table reservation system is in operation.
- To be fully aware of trends in the industry and make suggestions for improvement of the catering operation.
Salary is offered at a competitive rate, will be dependent on experience and discussed during the interview process.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
