Barista & Sandwich Maker

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista & sandwich maker to join our team who has experience and who is capable of working well in a fast paced environment.

In this role you will be responsible for making coffees, serving customers, food prep and making a variety of sandwiches and other items from our menu , ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are adhered to.

Although it can be busy we like to retain a fun and positive environment for staff and customers alike.

Amongst our customers we provide lunches for people who are on lunch breaks so the quick turn around is essential.

You will be trained In-house.

Duties

• Engage with customers, providing beverages, serving and taking payments, recommendations and advice on ingredients and allergy information.
• Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure all ingredients are stored correctly.
• Assist in the preparation of other food items as required, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Have excellent food allergy awareness, and adhere to guidelines to avoid cross contamination
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Barista experience.
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of food preparation.
• Level 2 food hygiene and safety certificate. preferred but not essential , we can provide it
• Food Allergy Awareness level 2 certificate. Preferred but not essential, we can provide it.
• A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and work as part of our team.
