Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the café operates smoothly during busy periods. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to develop your skills further.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, in accordance with company standards.
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or light meals when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and sanitising surfaces regularly.
  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering queries, and ensuring customers feel valued.
  • Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
  • Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
  • Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks to ensure supplies are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Work efficiently during peak hours while managing multiple tasks with good time management skills.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the profession.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is essential to uphold hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to prepare beverages accurately while maintaining quality standards.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • A friendly attitude with a genuine interest in providing excellent customer service.
