Company Description

Love and Loss Support is a small, family-run charity, borne from lived experience of supporting loved ones through bereavement, after a violent loss. Our mission is to raise awareness of the devastating consequences of violent crime, while providing support and a voice for those affected.

Role Description

This is a flexible remote role for a Board Trustee. The Board Trustee will be responsible for attending and actively participating in board meetings, helping to set organizational policies, ensuring the organization adheres to legal and regulatory requirements, and advising on financial matters and fundraising strategies. The Board Trustee will also be responsible for building relationships with stakeholders and acting as an ambassador for Love and Loss Support.

Qualifications

  • Leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for non-profits
  • Experience in fundraising and financial oversight
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and relationship building
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience in the mental health or grief support sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
