We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trustee to join our Board and help guide the charity through to the next exciting chapter. If you're passionate about making a difference, and want to support a grassroots charity with a powerful lived-experience mission, we want to hear from you.

Next year, we also hope to redevelop our organizational vision, which we anticipate our trustee will be highly involved with.

What are we looking for?

We Are Particularly Looking For Someone With Experience In

  • Charity fundraising and income generation;
  • Building partnerships and raising organisational profile;
  • Charity accounts, finance, and governance;
  • Strategic growth and sustainability;
  • 7+ years of Board Trustee experience.

What will you be doing?

As a trustee you'll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of Love and Loss Support and making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people and those affected by loss as a result of violent crime.

Next year, year we're expecting to make some important decisions about funding and the future expansion of our current youth projects and support work-shops , and the board will be leading that change. A few months of fantastic funding through the Mayor of London's Violence Reduction Unit has put us in an exciting position of being able to take part in several new youth projects in Croydon - but funding distribution is uneven, meaning resources for existing services must be managed carefully.

For this reason, we're looking for trustees with experience working in charities that have undergone major transformation, raised charity awareness through digital media and other platforms, and have helped to develop long-term strategies. If you have worked in change management, even better We hope the next three years will see some incredible new advances in Love and Loss Support's mission.

Our board will have a close relationship with senior management team of important stakeholders such as The Arsenal Foundation, and prides itself on being very friendly yet professional. We also have a digital media agency that provide direction on our marketing and digital functions, so there are opportunities for trustees with a creative streak to get more involved in our digital communications.
