Your role: Commercial Agency Director
The Commercial Agency Director is responsible for leading their agency team on all things audio. You'll be the lead Global person for the key decision-makers on your agency patch from investment to planning, digital to C-suite.
You'll be leading and managing an Agency Sales team (c.16 people) in building and maintaining effective business relationships with an important set of media agencies to deliver agreed revenue targets. This will also include dealing with prioritised clients, relevant to the respective agencies.The Commercial Agency Director will be responsible for proactive revenue generation and client servicing across all agencies within their group, delivering the deal and inputting into trading arrangements and driving take-up of Dax and other new revenue streams
The role sets the pace for a high performing, client facing, commercial team and is responsible for maintaining a collaborative and open culture so that the agency team is aware of all activity across the deal agencies they are responsible for.
As a Commercial Agency Director at Global, you will:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing agency team
- Work effectively with all Global commercial department leaders to successfully plan and implement a strategy to drive overall revenue growth for your agency group
- Understand the key challenges and issues our customers face and ensure that your team are helping to provide solutions to these challenges to ensure we are perceived as a key partner to our customers
- Lead your team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day business
- Develop influential relationships with senior stakeholders across your agency customer group with a specific focus driving commercial opportunities and revenue
- To be a Global ambassador and an architect in the shaping of the Global commercial culture
- Work closely with your OOH counterparts on joint agency initiatives and ways of working and you will create and implement a business plan from "bottom-up" on the revenue potential across all Global platforms for your agencies.
- You'll work closely with the other CAD's and senior commercial team to share and learn best practice and will be responsible for accurate weekly forecasting on your patch
- Working closely with the Director, Audio Sales and Trading you will be key in agreeing (and delivering) the commercial targets for the team to drive our market position forwards, achieve budget and deliver sustainable revenue growth

- Revenue and product mix targets across all product lines with a particular focus on Dax investment
- Deal management and delivery to agreed levels

- Scores in agency media owner surveys.
- Integration with other Global departments and commitment to 'One Global' culture
- Long term retention and development of your team members

What You'll Need
- Scores in Global's annual employee engagement survey
- A strong understanding of Radio and Digital media planning and buying
- A strong understanding of agencies and senior relationships across all planning teams
- Proven track record in nurturing client relationships
- An understanding of trading deals and how to maximise for commercial benefit
- Good understanding of Global's proprietary audience targeting and measurement tools such as Listener Insight ID and the DAX data management platform.
- An appreciation of Global's place in the media ecosystem and the opportunities and challenges we face
- Excellent interpersonal skills: effectively communicating, building rapport and relating to others at all levels.
- Effective communicator, who can build and maintain high profile relationships both internally and externally
