Join us at Barclays as a Pricing Manager. In this role, you'll manage the bank's wholesale lending portfolio by developing and implementing portfolio strategies, monitoring and assessing risk, and reporting on performance. You'll work closely with relationship managers, credit analysts, and colleagues across various sectors to ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite and business objectives, while taking ownership of pricing activities and collaborating across sectors and product sets to deliver value.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple teams
  • 1–2 years of experience with UK Corporate and International Corporate Banking frameworks
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications

  • Lending knowledge and understanding of wholesale lending products
  • Risk and control knowledge, including familiarity with risk metrics
  • Portfolio management experience

This role is based in London.

Purpose of the role
To manage asset and reporting for the bank's wholesale lending portfolio, including developing and implementing portfolio management strategies, monitoring, and assessing portfolio risk, and reporting on portfolio performance and collaborating with relationship managers, credit analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that the portfolio is aligned with the bank's risk appetite and business objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of credit risks associated with the portfolio, including conducting regular portfolio reviews and sensitivity analysis.  .
  • Monitoring of performance of the loan portfolio.  .
  • Analysing the business cases for lending proposals based on the creditworthiness of borrowers and counterparties, in line with the bank's strategy.  .
  • Implementation of strategies to optimise the portfolio's risk-return profile, including active management of credit exposures, portfolio rebalancing, and credit limit.  .
