Acquis Insurance Management is a private equity backed insurance broker and administrator that specialises in providing insurance administration services for the finance and leasing industry across Europe. Acquis's main administration centre is based in Newport, South Wales but we also operate a European office in Amsterdam, Netherlands through the group's sister subsidiary company.

Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Business Intelligence Manager (BI) to lead our data strategy, analytics, and reporting functions. This role will be pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights, enabling evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.
The Business Intelligence Manager will play a central role in shaping Acquis's data-driven culture and fostering cross-functional collaboration. By championing best practices in data management and encouraging innovative approaches to analytics, the successful candidate will ensure that business intelligence is embedded at the heart of our initiatives. This position requires a forward- thinking leader who can anticipate emerging trends, drive continuous improvement, and empower teams to unlock the full potential of our data assets.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
: Define and deliver the organisation's BI strategy, ensuring
alignment with business goals.

Data Governance
: Oversee data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Analytics & Insight
: Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, reports, and predictive models to support operational and strategic decisions.
·
Team Management
: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI team.
·
Stakeholder Engagement
: Partner with senior leaders to identify data needs, translate requirements into BI solutions, and drive adoption.

Technology & Tools
: Evaluate and implement BI tools, platforms, and emerging technologies to enhance capabilities, including the use of AI

Performance Measurement
: Establish KPIs and metrics to track organisational performance and impact.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Encourage a culture of ongoing innovation within the BI function, staying ahead of industry trends and integrating new analytical methodologies or data sources as appropriate.

Change Managemen
t: Lead change initiatives related to BI processes and systems, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption across the business.

Training and Data Literacy
: Drive initiatives to improve data literacy across the organisation, equipping staff at all levels to interpret and utilise BI outputs effectively.

Collaboration with IT and Data Security
: Work closely with IT to ensure robust data infrastructure and alignment on data security, privacy, and compliance

Vendor and Partner Management
: Where relevant, manage relationships with external vendors or partners providing BI tools, data services, or consultancy, ensuring value for money and alignment with strategic goals.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
· Proven leadership experience in BI, analytics, or data strategy roles.
· Strong knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI,) and data warehousing concepts.
· Expertise in SQL, data modelling, and statistical analysis.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives.
· Experience in managing cross-functional projects and influencing at senior levels.
· Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
· Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
· Professional certifications in BI or analytics (desirable).
