GLG Vets is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, family-friendly veterinary practice in Tamworth, Staffordshire. This role is perfect for a vet looking to take on a leadership position, with plenty of focus on clinical work, alongside management support from the Practice Manager and the practice owners.
Salary: Competitive + £5,000 Welcome Bonus (for direct candidates only)
Working Hours: 4 days a week, 1 in 3 Saturdays, no Sundays or OOH
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated team of 4 Vets, 6 Nurses, 3 Receptionists, and 2 Practice Managers.
- Provide high-quality veterinary care, with a focus on clinical excellence.
- Collaborate with the Partners to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
- Assist in managing the team, while being able to focus on your clinical passion.
- Offer support and mentorship to junior vets and nurses.
- Opportunity to develop your surgical skills, with a bias toward surgery or any specialism you wish to pursue.
