Job Summary

Our candidate will have experience in events and conferencing, with a track record of following and executing event schedules to the latter. Client experience is the main focus in the role with a huge emphasis on events running smoothly, to time and any unexpected issues are dealt with promptly. This is a supervisory role that will have the full support strong management and outside departments.

Duties

  • Supervise and run events and conferencing within a hotel setting.
  • Lease with other departments including kitchen, front of house, sales and bar to ensure all details of event are covered and within the planned time frame.
  • Ensure compliance of staff is met and continued on every event and conference.
  • Train new staff in hospitality best practices and customer service excellence.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team moral.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all working areas

Experience

  • Proven experience in a event and conferencing supervisory position within the hospitality industry.
  • Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team effectively.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production.
