The Market & Event Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of markets and events, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer experience. This role involves working closely with traders, visitors, clients and internal teams to maintain high standards of service and compliance.

Hours: Part-time, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 09:00hrs – 15:00hrs (with potential overtime during busy periods)

  • Assist in planning and organising events, including logistics, trader coordination, source and book entertainment, venues, medial etc.
  • Support marketing campaigns, including content creation including posts and reels, social media management, and email marketing.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the company website and social media platforms.
  • Communicate with clients, traders, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist with general administrative duties as needed.
  • Source and liaise with clients to quote and book services offered by the Company, ensuring accurate pricing, timely communication, and excellent customer experience.
  • Answer telephone and emails to deal with general public and trader enquiries.
  • Assist with larger events, where needed on live event days.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in events is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools such as Mailchimp is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for detail.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11,793.60 per year

Expected hours: 18 per week
