About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Car Mechanic / Vehicle Technician with 1–2 years' experience to join our busy, independent, family-run garage in Kent. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, with early finishes at the end of the week, competitive pay, and performance-related bonuses.

You'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of vehicles, develop your diagnostic and repair skills, and grow your career in a supportive, professional workshop.

What We Offer

  • Competitive basic salary up to £35,000 + monthly bonus (£200–£400)
  • On-target earnings (OTE) up to £39,000
  • Monday–Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:30pm; Thursday & Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (early finish)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults
  • Prepare cars for MOT inspections and carry out safety checks
  • Road-test vehicles after servicing or repair
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Collaborate with service advisors and the workshop team
  • Ensure all work meets industry and safety standards

About You

  • 1–2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, Junior Mechanic, or Service Technician
  • Knowledge of diagnostics, servicing, and vehicle repairs
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Reliable, motivated, and a strong team player
  • Attention to detail and professional work ethic
