What to expect

The Supplier Relationship Manager - Technology is a key member of the Commercial Management team, responsible for the delivery of functional strategies, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.

The Supplier Relationship Manager - Technology will be responsible for aligning suppliers' capabilities with Post Office business objectives, ultimately contributing to the overall performance and success of the organisation. The role involves managing daily operations related to supplier interactions, leading cross functional teams to address supplier related challenges, and ensuring value for money through tracking financial risks and opportunities.

Whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships with key Technology suppliers, you will identify opportunities for cost saving and service improvements, develop supplier/vendor strategies and resolve supplier related issues and challenges.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrable experience in Supplier Relationship or Vendor Management. In addition you will possess:


• Experience managing supplier relationships within Technology will be crucial


• Substantial experience establishing cross functional stakeholder relationships


• Strong commercial business acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions.


• Demonstrable experience implementing significant Process Improvement projects


• Strong experience managing strategic supplier relationships particularly around performance and improvement


• Experience negotiating the renewal or exit of large IT contracts


• Experience working within the Public Sector (NHS, Education, Civil Service, MOD etc)


• CIPS level 5, CCIAF or IACCM would be of benefit
