Prioritising debt collection, recovery and service excellence in Sundry Invoices

We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our Sundry Invoices team as a Revenues Officer. This role is integral to ensuring the effective recovery of outstanding debts and supporting the Authority's income maximisation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Income Team Leader with the recovery of sundry invoice debt.
  • Investigate and resolve queries regarding income owed to the Authority, delivering a responsive and professional service.
  • Respond to enquiries via telephone, written correspondence, and face-to-face meetings from customers and third parties (e.g., Citizens Advice, solicitors).
  • Manage debt recovery through County and High Courts, including liaison with enforcement firms and court representation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to share information and provide advice on debt recovery strategies impacting service budgets.

You will be part of a team that supports every department across the Authority, recovering income from approximately 30,000 invoices annually.
