R&M Lighting is a continually expanding highways electrical contractor based in the South East of England, delivering industry-renowned street lighting and road signage projects across the whole of the UK. Our office is located in Theale, Berkshire, with easy connections to the M4, Reading bus routes and railway network.

As part of its ongoing business growth, R&M Lighting is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and versatile Contract Administrator to join our office team and support both the Commercial and Operational teams with their growing workload.

The role will centre on supporting the commercial team's Estimating and Procurement teams in their respective duties, such as gathering material quotes from suppliers, preparing quote templates for our estimators, reviewing documents for our buyer and helping them to monitor supplier orders.

In addition , the successful candidate will assist the Operations Manager prepare outgoing site paperwork and record incoming data.

In time, as the candidate builds their knowledge of our industry and their confidence in the role, there will be future scope for them to support both teams in further responsibilities, dependent on where their skillset can best be applied for the business.

Full on-the-job training will be provided, so – whilst highly advantageous – no prior industry or office-based experience is required. However confidence using Microsoft Office software is needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Day-to-day activities will expand with the candidate's growing experience, but initially will include:

· Logging in tender enquiries

· Reviewing tender and contract documents

· Liaising with suppliers regarding material quotes and orders

· Answering phone calls and taking messages

· Communicating quote and order statuses to the relevant internal teams

· Populating quotation templates

· Logging and recording goods in / out sheets, and updating our stock control system

· Checking order confirmations against Purchase Orders

. Preparing site packs

. Logging site records

· Various other forms of data entry
