Role Description
This is an on-site contract-based position located in Reading for the role of Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager will oversee and manage various construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Day-to-day tasks will include preparing and reviewing contracts, coordinating with project teams and stakeholders, monitoring budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also requires regular communication with clients and ensuring that project deliverables meet their expectations.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts, including a thorough understanding of contract law and industry regulations.
  • Proven ability in project management, including budget planning, scheduling, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Practical experience and knowledge in construction, refurbishment, and interior fit-outs.
  • Competence in problem-solving, negotiation, and risk management to address project challenges effectively.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for documentation, documentation processing, and reporting.
  • A relevant degree in construction management, business administration, or related field, though equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in software tools and systems related to project tracking, costing, and documentation will be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in managing projects within the retail, hospitality, or commercial sectors is an advantage.
