Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Scout to join our Emerging Talent team. The postholder will play a key role in identifying and assessing young players with the potential to join Stockport County's academy programme. Working within the club's scouting and recruitment framework, the successful candidates will provide high quality player reports and contribute to building a robust knowledge base of emerging talent across their designated region
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor players aged U17–U21 players in your designated region.
- Produce accurate, insightful, and timely scouting reports using the club's reporting systems and processes.
- Maintain awareness of key emerging players and regional trends in player development.
Essential
- A strong knowledge and understanding of youth football within your region.
- Experience of working or volunteering within a football scouting, coaching, or talent identification role.
- Excellent observation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel locally within your region.
- Access to reliable transport and ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office / online reporting platforms)
- FA Talent Identification Level 1
- Previous experience scouting for a professional or semi-professional club.
- Knowledge of U17-U21 players within your designated region.
