An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Accident and Emergency team at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
The ED tracker role is a new role supporting both patients and clinical staff through their MRI experience whether that be through the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Treatment Centre. (UTC)
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a good team player, organised, flexible and can maintain attention to detail. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks and duties. As the Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, the successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern, including overnight shifts.
You will also play an active role in the wider multidisciplinary teams that work across MRI by liaising with different teams to ensure patients progress along their pathway safely and efficiently
The overall aim of this post is to offer the highest level of care to our patients by supporting the clinicians providing the front-line care to improve the patient experience and flow throughout the department.
Tracking patients from when they enter the department to when they leave by onwards referral for further specialist treatment or discharged back to the care of their GP in a timely manner. You will work closely with Medical, Nursing and Managerial colleagues based in the ED and UTC department providing awareness to changes in pressure, capacity, and patient flow.
There are a lot of exciting changes happening at the ED department and UTC at Manchester Royal Infirmary over the next few years INCLUDING £40M worth of investment in our buildings & infrastructure some of which have already started.
