Health Care Assistant

This is an opportunity to join a multi-skilled team working in friendly environment where your skills can be utilised whilst ensuring our patients receive the appropriate professional care for their needs.

Our medical practice supports 13,500+ patients and we pride ourselves on our professional and caring approach to supporting our patients and the local community. We are situated in a purpose built Health Centre working alongside and collaboratively with other health trusts which also allows for perfect integration with other local healthcare teams.

We currently have one vacancy.

It is a part time role and the working arrangements are negotiable depending on the skill set of the applicants.

As a valued team member you will actively support the Clinicians to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Practice.

As a Health Care Assistant you should ideally be a qualified phlebotomist, be able to change dressings and be trained in wound care, take ECG's, undertake NHS checks, carry out blood pressure checks along with general treatment room duties. The Practice supports professional development to ensure a full skills mix of treatments can be provided to our patients.

This role require a well presented individual with a calm, methodical approach to work, the ability to deal empathically and professionally with the general public and a working knowledge of EMIS Web would be desirable, full training howeverl be provided.

The successful applicant will be receptive to change, with excellent communication skills, be a team player and have a 'can-do approach' to work.

These roles will be subject to DBS vetting.
