What does the Job look like?

Duty Manager's play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience to all our guests. They have a keen eye for detail, an organised approach and a willingness to exceed our guest expectation. Often operating on the front line, they are the real ambassadors of our company, and are committed to consistently delivering high standards. Our Duty Managers are hardworking individuals who can work on their own initiative and are key players in our hotel operations teams.

In conjunction with the General Manager & the Operations Manager, our Duty Managers are accountable for the people, product and profit within the hotel.

The role would suit somebody who enjoys interacting with people and is able to build and maintain strong relationships with both guests and team alike. Communicating and co-ordinating direction to different departments is a must and be confident in executing requests from senior management.

The Duty Manager position is a challenging position and with our previous Duty Management team been here over 5 years plus we are looking for somebody who wishes to learn and develop their skills further.

The right fit for the role….

A Duty Manager working for Castlewood Hotels is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Good communicator
  • Ability to comply with all Food and Beverage service standards that equate to 3 star. Knowledge of 4 star service standards is desirable but not a must.
  • Able to learn Reception procedures and support on Reception duties if required
  • Experience using hotel management systems
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Willingness to develop team members and self
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work on your own or in teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Eastbourne BN22 7AP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
