Temporary (3 years fixed term contract), Full time, 37 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Attendance Team in Access to Education as a full time Attendance Officer. The post holder will report directly to an Attendance Lead and, alongside our existing Attendance team, will be responsible for effective operational delivery of the Rotherham School Attendance Matters Pathway (SAMP).
Successful candidates will work in partnership, building and maintaining strong multi-agency relationships that promote effective joint working to address issues affecting children's attendance and provide professional guidance and support in respect of children's poor attendance and for all children's cases where there is escalation to statutory attendance enforcement.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
