I am pleased to invite applications for a Temporary Full Time Area Housing Officer secondment opportunity to cover maternity leave until 31/08/2026.
This post is considered as a suitable secondment opportunity. If you wish to apply on a secondment basis you should seek the necessary approval from your current employer prior to making an application.
Working pattern: Monday - Friday.
Location: To be determined, likely to be in Central Location.
An opportunity has arisen to become part of a dedicated team in Housing and make a real difference in a neighbourhood.
You will have experience of working in a housing related or other public service environment and working effectively with a range of partners and Ward Members.
You will have experience of direct dealing with members of the public with a clear understanding of customer care standards. Also a sound understanding of dealing with tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour and supporting our most vulnerable residents.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
