Join us at Barclays as a Project Manager, where you'll lead TC01 Change delivery to shape a more sustainable and enduring workforce and cost model. You'll drive thematic change across regulatory and business initiatives, embed strategic roadmaps with pillar leads, and support innovation through Gen AI acceleration, applying strong project and stakeholder management skills within the Financial Crime organisation.

To be successful as a TC01 Project Manager, you should have experience with:

  • Experience in managing Financial Crime projects ideally across multiple topics including AML and ABC plus other areas too.
  • Exposure to managing different types of projects including Technology and process led deliverables.
  • A strong background in the portfolio governance and reporting, including oversight and adherence to control standards.
  • Background in managing in a regulatory environment.
  • Handling large data sets, reviewing to assist with summarising key themes to support data led decision making in the organisation.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear messaging to all levels of our stakeholder group.
  • A clear appreciation for defining milestones, measures of success, and other components critical to the development of a business case.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, fostering strong relationships.
  • Experience in Internal Audit or Compliance Assurance functions would be advantageous.

This role is based in Glasgow/Knutsford/Northampton.

Purpose of the role

Focused on delivering individual projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget with a more immediate focus.

Accountabilities

  • Scope Management: Manages a single project with specific, defined objectives, deadlines, and deliverables. Their focus is on completing the project on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Strategic Focus: Operates more tactically, focusing on day-to-day management of resources, schedules, and deliverables for their individual project.
  • Time Horizon: Works with a shorter, more defined timeframe as projects have a set beginning and end.
  • Stakeholder Management: Primarily manages stakeholders related to their specific project, ensuring communication and expectations are clear for the project's deliverables.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Focuses on risks and issues specific to their project and works to mitigate them within the project's scope.
  • Resource Management: Manages resources for their individual project, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work.
  • Financial Management: Focuses on managing the budget of their specific project, ensuring it is completed within the financial constraints.
  • Metrics: Measures success based on the timely completion of project deliverables within scope, time, and budget.
  • Change Management: Manages changes that directly impact their specific project, including scope changes, timelines, or resource allocation adjustments.
