Job summaryWe are eager to appoint a Psychological Well-being Practitioner to support psychologically led interventions to patients who have long covid/long term conditions symptoms. This is a permanent full-time vacancy open to qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) and would encourage you to apply if you have experience working as a PWP. Post holders must hold relevant registration (i.e. BPS or BABCP) and qualification (PgCert in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions). The BDCT Long COVID pathway is a collaborative venture between three Trusts in Bradford, Craven and Airedale including Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford District Care Foundation Trust, and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Act as one). The BDC Long COVID has now been running for 3 years supports those with long lasting impacts of Covid-19 infection, also called Long Covid. Closing date: 17/11/25 Shortlisting date: 19/11/25 Interview date: 26/11/25 Main duties of the jobThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service with technology at the heart with individual or group virtual sessions, an app for patient reported outcomes amongst other technological points. As well as this we endeavour to ensure we offer an equitable pathway for all supporting those with digital poverty and access issues such as language barriers to gain support through a personalised approach.The pathway takes a largely group based approach with many exciting courses that you have the opportunity to be involved with such as (not limited to) anxiety management, brain fog, PTSD, stress, sleep, mindfulness for health and the published intervention '7 week Recovering from COVID' virtual course which was published in December 2021.The team comprises of Long covid Pathway Clinical Lead, MH Pathway Clinical Leads, Mental Health Nurse, Team Lead, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dieticians and Administrators, delivering a recovery focused service. There is also has weekly MDT input from consultants of various specialists (Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Respiratory) who offer support for the more complex cases. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic approach to working as part of the MDT.
