Family Worker hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Domestic Abuse Hub as a Family Worker, specifically to support families who are affected by domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Hub is a multi-agency team of Police, Education, Family Workers and Independent Domestic Violence Advocates. Between us, we respond to concerns relating to domestic abuse of all levels of risk. The Hub also coordinates the MARAC process.
About the Role:
As a Family Worker, you will provide support to families on a one-to-one basis, co-facilitate group work programmes and work with adults who have caused harm. You will be contacting survivors of domestic abuse and helping them to implement interventions to manage the risk and reduce the trauma for their children and themselves.
About the Candidate:
You will need to have a sound knowledge base in relation to understanding the complexities of domestic abuse and be prepared to work utilising a whole family approach. You will need have undertaken training or be prepared undertake level 2 domestic abuse training.
