Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. This role is based in our Mallusk branch on some occasions you may be required to work in various stores across your working week. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring food safety standards are met and that our customers receive high-quality products in a timely manner. Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with their deli orders, providing recommendations and upselling products as appropriate.
  • Prepare subs, sandwiches and other deli items according to customer specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli counter and kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Ensure all products are properly labelled with prices and ingredients.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure freshness of products.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently when required.

Skills

  • Proficient in food preparation techniques with an understanding of culinary principles.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate pricing and transactions.
  • Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • A proactive approach to upselling products to enhance customer experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
