WHY JOIN THE TEAM?
Roles are on offer for this apprenticeship in this location across several different teams, including:

  • TV Social Campaigns: The TV Social Campaigns team are responsible for the creative, campaign and stakeholder management aspects of our social output. They work on a title-by-title basis, delivering a plan for organic social activity for that title which works across available social platforms and formats. They create social assets and write copy, brief more complex assets to Originals and Edit Hub teams and work with the Publishing team to ensure the right content is being delivered on social accounts, working closely with the wider Marketing team and Commissioning to plan campaigns.
  • TV Social Planning: The TV Social Planning Team helps set overall team strategy. They produce market insight, conduct performance analysis and manage various projects across the team including training and ways-of-working. They manage the social media output for the Content division, overseeing some of the BBC's largest social accounts, including BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The team is composed of diverse talents, including content producers, video editors, and social strategists. We pride ourselves on being nimble, innovative, and creative. Their primary goal is to help the BBC reach and engage audiences under 35 on social media platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
As a Multi-Channel Marketer (MCM26) apprentice, this is brilliant opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute – you will:

  • Work with a BBC team to develop and deliver campaigns relevant to that team
  • Contribute to the creation of brilliant content which will helps audiences engage with the BBC
  • Potentially analyse performance data to see what's working, and help improve future campaigns
  • Support the team with scheduling and deliveries of campaigns, ensuring they are kept on track
  • Learn tools, techniques and strategies that contribute to world class marketing

You'll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job.  This means you'll spend at least one day a week studying for a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship with our learning provider, using its virtual delivery platform.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:

  • Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
  • Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
  • Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme, whether with the BBC or another organisation

To Apply For This Scheme, You Must Also

  • Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area (Marketing) at the same or a higher level than this apprenticeship. If you have a Marketing degree (the equivalent of Level 6), or a Marketing qualification at or above Level 3, you are not eligible for this role.
  • For candidates under the age of 19 years at the start of the apprenticeship: To complete the apprenticeship, you must have achieved maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification. If you have not achieved these qualifications by the start of your apprenticeship, you will be required to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end of your apprenticeship when you take your end-point assessment.
