Responsibilities
- Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare a variety of fried foods.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with meal preparation,seasoning, and assembling food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning fryers and utensils after use.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with food service and other kitchen duties as required.
- Adhere strictly to food safety standards, including proper storage of ingredients and waste disposal procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a culinary setting.
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, particularly frying methods.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service.
