Job Summary

The Door Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both patrons and staff within the venue. This position involves overseeing entry and exit points, monitoring behaviour, and ensuring compliance with licensing laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong surveillance skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents as they arise.

This role is based with in a large night club setting working with in a door team of 15 door supervisors+ with a high turn over of guests and a holding capacity crowd of 1500+.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the venue, ensuring only authorised individuals enter.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
  • Utilise CCTV systems to monitor the venue and assist in loss prevention efforts.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid when necessary and liaising with emergency services as required.
  • Enforce venue policies and procedures, including age restrictions and licensing laws.
  • Maintain a visible presence to reassure patrons and promote a safe atmosphere.
  • Document incidents accurately and report them to management as needed.

Qualifications

  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor license.
  • Previous experience in security or a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (face to face and radio communication)
  • To be able to work within a team and be able to take instruction when needed.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations effectively.
