London, Greater London, United Kingdom Clyde & Co Full time £30,000 - £60,000 per year

The Team
We have an established and well-respected group of lawyers within our Insurance, Financial and Professional Disputes group who advise some of the UK's largest insurers and their underwriters on all classes of property damage claims. This includes multi-million-pound claims for fire, infrastructure damage, flood damage, building defect claims, Party Wall Act disputes as well as subsidence. This involves claims under a full suite of property policies to include commercial combined covers, property owners risks and Construction All Risks cover. Our policy coverage claims involve advice on non-disclosure and fair presentation of risk, breach of conditions and also fraud.

Role Summary
As a Paralegal in Clyde & Co's Insurance, Financial and Professional Disputes (IFPD) department, you will provide high-quality legal and administrative support to fee earners handling a diverse caseload of recoveries, personal injury, insurance, and cyber-related matters. Working as part of a leading international insurance law practice, you will assist in the investigation, preparation, and completion of claims on behalf of insurer and corporate clients. The role offers exposure to a broad range of contentious insurance work, including property damage recoveries, employers' and public liability claims, professional indemnity disputes, and emerging cyber risk matters.

This position is suited to an organised and proactive individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in insurance law and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist fee earners with the day-to-day completion of recovery, personal injury, and insurance litigation files from instruction to resolution.
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and schedules (including letters of claim, defences, witness statements, and settlement documentation).
  • Prepare court bundles, liaise with counsel and experts, and ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with procedural rules.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and advice.
  • Support in the assessment, negotiation, and settlement of subrogated recovery claims and liability disputes.
  • Complete smaller or delegated files under supervision, including correspondence with clients, opponents, and third parties.
  • Maintain accurate records on case management systems and assist with billing and file closure processes.
