At David Plucks we are currently looking for 2 people to join us in the Heywood shop as Deputy Managers. We are looking for people who pride themselves on their customer service, enjoying talking to people and are keen to help us drive the business forward. The role involves learning all the aspects of running a betting shop on a day to day basis, so an appetite for sport would be a help. Previous successful applicants have come from a varied background, including pubs and bars, caring, shops, restaurants and other face to face roles. We focus on offering the best possible experience in our shops, along with ensuring compliance is met.
We offer
Hourly rate will increase to £12.75 once a staff member has completed 6 months service
£500 bonus after 12 months
Rota bonus worth 50 hours per year
Full training provided, also open to experienced applicants
Permanent, full-time position with benefits (part time also available)
Job security - we haven't closed any of our stores over the past 6 years, and our staff have seen pay rises every year.
Weekly pay, flexible rotas, competitive pay rates, twice yearly rota bonuses and annual bonuses on top mean some of our staff in this role have earnt over £32k in the last 12 months. We have full on site training available to help you, and we have progression pathways for those who wish to take the next step up the ladder.
Our supportive management team ensure there is always someone on the end of the phone to help you.
At least 1 year of customer service experience
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist customers in placing their bets.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing shop area.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about product knowledge and promotions to effectively assist customers.
