A unique opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre Corporate Development professional to join a private equity-backed with a revenue of £10m, high-growth consultancy on a buy-and-build journey. With backing from a leading mid-market PE fund and a proven management team, the business is scaling rapidly through strategic acquisitions across the UK and internationally.

Operating at the forefront of HR transformation, the platform has delivered award-winning services to some of the UK's most recognisable FTSE 100 brands. As part of its next phase of growth, the business is seeking to expand its footprint through a carefully executed M&A strategy.

The Opportunity

As M&A Director, you will take ownership of the M&A lifecycle from deal origination and assessment to execution and integration. Working closely with the CFO, CEO and private equity sponsors, you will be instrumental in shaping the inorganic growth agenda and executing multiple bolt-on acquisitions over the coming years.

This is a great opportunity for a strategically minded, commercially astute M&A professional looking to move in-house within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including pipeline development, financial analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, and completion
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors, advisors, and key stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality financial models and valuations to assess strategic fit and deal viability
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to execute deals efficiently and effectively
  • Partner with leadership on post-deal integration planning and execution
  • Prepare investment materials and present to board and investment committee
  • Support the overall corporate strategy by identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 3–6 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or corporate development
  • Experience within private equity-backed business is essentially
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and deal execution skills essential
  • ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent qualification
  • Highly analytical, organised, and commercially minded
  • Comfortable working at pace in a fast-moving, high-growth business
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong academic background with a 2:1 or above from a leading institution

This is a London based opportunity and you will be required in the office 1-2 days a week. The client is looking for a very quick turnaround and is favouring individuals on 1 month notice period or less. If you have a 2-3 month notice period you must be able to provide comfort that this is negotiable as Sept is the ideal start date,
