Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar/Pub Manager to oversee our pub operations, ensuring exceptional service and a vibrant atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for food and beverage management. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage a team, maintain high standards of food safety, and deliver an outstanding guest experience. The role will be heavily commission based with weekly sales targets to hit.

We are looking for someone 4-5 times a week depending on hours. Main days, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Friday/Saturday 1.30am closing time.

Accommodation can be included if needed, small rent charge PW taken out wages.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels to minimise waste.
  • Implement and uphold food safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Develop creative drink menus and collaborate with the kitchen on food production for events.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in line with hospitality standards.
  • Engage in local community events
  • Prepare & host for festive events

Skills

  • Proven supervisory experience in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
  • Barista experience is a plus, enhancing our beverage offerings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
