Planet Ice Peterborough has an exciting opportunity for a new member of staff to join the Solihull rink assistant team.

The following sets out your general duties and you may be requested to carry out duties that are not set out within this job description . Your duties may change from time to time in order to meet the requirements of the business.

Responsible for: Smooth operation of Planet Ice Solihull including: Skate hire, on ice stewarding, Food & Beverage, Box office and Reception duties

Overview

As a rink assistant you are a point of contact for all customers and visitors of Planet Ice. You will provide a professional and efficient service. You will also be required to wear the correct uniform, looking presentable at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Dealing with all customer queries in relation to Planet Ice
  2. Any problems/faults in regard to health and safety must immediately reported to your supervisor.
  3. Operating tills – Handling cash, cheques, PDQ machine.
  4. Attendance to staff training sessions is imperative.
  5. Full knowledge of information being delivered i.e., prices, opening times, lessons, parties and special promotions.
  6. To accurately handle cash, cheque and credit card transaction.
  7. To maintain the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
  8. To attain, record and safety store away any lost property found or lost within Planet Ice.
  9. Ensure the rink is clean and tidy at all times.
  10. Inform management of any customer issues/complaints.

  11. Completed tasks include opening and closing check sheets.

  12. Serve on skate hire quickly and efficiently

  13. Steward the ice to ensure the safety of all users

Candidates must be able to skate and be able to assist customer on the ice. Must be available to work weekends. Some evenings available along with additional hours during school holiday periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
