We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to work within our Learning Disability Intensive Community Support (ICS) Team. This service supports individuals who present with significant behaviours that challenge and / or have complex mental health difficulties.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain wide and valuable experience within a multi-disciplinary team. As part of your role, you will support the ICS team members to undertake psychological assessments and interventions, teaching activities, clinically relevant research, service development and audit.
All your work will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist. The successful candidate would be expected to have a good honours degree in Psychology, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a good standard of computer literacy and be competent in research skills.
There are regular opportunities to have contact with other Clinical Psychology colleagues within the organisation and we have close links with the South Wales Doctoral Course in Clinical Psychology, regularly providing teaching and clinical placements.
This post is fixed term for 12 months to meet the needs for the service.

To support and enhance the psychological input to service users within the Intensive Community Support (ICS) Team. Key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking psychological assessments and interventions under the supervision of the ICS Clinical Psychologist.
Supporting the ICS Clinical Psychologist and other ICS team members to undertake teaching and training.
Supporting the ICS Clinical Psychologists and other ICS team members to undertake clinically relevant research, service evaluation and audit.
To carry out other duties as agreed with the ICS Clinical Psychologist and Team Manager.
This is a part-time post. Your hours of duty will largely be within 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday but you may need to work early mornings, evenings or weekends.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
