Business Objects Reporting Developer – £60,000

Location: Watford (Flexible Hybrid / Remote Considered)

We are supporting a forward-thinking organisation based in
Watford
in their search for a skilled
Business Objects Reporting Developer
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on turning data into meaningful insight and wants to work with modern reporting and BI tools.

While some office presence in Watford is preferred, the client is open to candidates who wish to work predominantly on a
remote basis
.

Role Overview

As the Business Objects Reporting Developer, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards across multiple business systems. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality MI/BI solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MI & BI reports for various business units
  • Build and optimise Business Objects reports, dashboards, and universes
  • Script, code, and configure reporting outputs based on business requirements
  • Analyse reporting needs and recommend improvements to processes and standards
  • Test and validate reports to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Support technical reviews and collaborate with developers, analysts, and product teams
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and third parties

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience with
    SAP Business Objects
    , including Data Services and Information Design Tool
  • Solid SQL experience (MySQL ideal; Redshift beneficial)
  • Strong data modelling skills
  • Experience developing ETL processes from multiple data sources and types
  • Experience in dashboard design and development
  • 3+ years' experience in a Reporting Developer or similar role
  • Experience in an Agile, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
