An exciting opportunity has arisen within Highways for two Data Technician's to join us at Hampshire County Council.

The Asset Management Team plays a central role using data and processes to enable informed decision making across Highways Commissioning. It helps us to understand the assets we have, measure, and monitor how they perform, and determine the funding needed to mitigate the demands placed upon them.

The Role:

These roles are an exciting opportunity to help deliver asset management functions that are essential to the delivery of an efficient and sustainable highway service that supports our local needs and priorities.

What you'll do:

As a Data Technician, you'll be responsible for providing technical support for a wide range of highway projects. The role requires the editing, analysis and manipulation of highway asset databases using a wide range of IT systems including Geographical Information Systems (GIS). You'll be required to manage and prioritise competing workloads effectively and have a systematic approach to working with a high level of accuracy.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for data focused individuals who recognise the importance of managing accurate records of information. You'll be highly IT literate with an ability to work closely with a range of stakeholders whilst also being able to work under your own supervision.
