The Role

We're looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Manchester Head Office a pivotal leadership role overseeing group-wide financial reporting, treasury, and compliance.
You'll manage a talented team, bring structure and clarity to our international finance operations, and play a critical role in shaping how we manage liquidity, banking relationships, and financial governance across 6 legal jurisdictions
Strong treasury experience will be critical in this role, as you will be responsible for managing cash flow across multiple jurisdictions, overseeing banking relationships, and ensuring the business remains strategically positioned to meet its financial obligations.

What You'll Do
As our Financial Reporting Manager, you'll help shape the financial backbone of a rapidly scaling, private-equity backed organisation. This is a high-visibility leadership role where your treasury and financial expertise will directly impact UP's global expansion.
Lead and inspire a finance team of six, including a Financial Accountant, Purchase Ledger Manager, and Finance Assistants building a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Champion team development through mentoring, coaching, and structured performance management.
Own monthly and annual financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions and entities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery.
Manage group audit and tax compliance, working closely with external advisors and auditors.
Deliver robust balance sheet and cashflow forecasting, partnering with FP&A to drive confident decision-making.
Lead group-wide treasury operations, including global cash flow management, banking relationships, covenant forecasting, and liquidity planning.
Implement smart cash optimisation strategies, ensuring funds are efficiently deployed to support rapid growth and operational excellence.
Oversee group debt, equity, and financial obligations, maintaining tight controls and complete visibility across the organisation.
Provide high-quality financial insights to senior leadership, shaping commercial and strategic decisions.
Support the Head of Finance and Finance Director with ad-hoc analysis, insurance oversight, and company secretarial duties.
Drive continuous improvement, enhancing processes, strengthening reporting frameworks, and elevating internal controls as we scale.
What we're looking for
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and controls.
Demonstrable treasury experience, ideally across multi-entity or international environments, including cash management, banking oversight, and debt monitoring.
Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Process-driven mindset with a passion for improvement and operational excellence.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
