Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be working with a leading London based Commercial Flooring Contractor who are urgently seeking to fill both a QS and a Pre Contract / Estimator to work from their London offices and help them to continue their success.

Established for nearly 65 years they have a great reputation for their high Quality workmanship and pride themselves on providing exceptional Client Service and delivering high standards on every installation.
They have grown rapidly in the last couple of years and are now seeking a pro active and ambitious Individual to help them to spot new opportunities to drive growth of the business.
Pre Construction Manager Role
The purpose of this role is to manage our pre-construction pipeline by completing tenders in a timely fashion, identifying opportunities, cost savings and value engineering. In addition, we are keen to develop an in-house design capability so we will be investing in training and development in this space to enable us to produce our own CAD drawings.
The role will have a large amount of flexibility but will involve the following Core Responsibilities:
- Estimating
- Tendering
- Cost management
- Value engineering
- Design and CAD capability (can be learnt on the job)
- Identifying new opportunities
- Building relationships with clients and suppliers
- Developing strategic partnerships
We are seeking someone that can display the following attributes and Experience:
Knowledge and Experience
Technical:
- IT skills – average standard required
- Takeoff Software
- Flooring industry and product knowledge – High standard required
- Construction knowledge – High standard required
- Financial and commercial knowledge – High standard required
- Builds relationships – Strong relationships are required both internally with team members and externally with clients and suppliers.
- Financial and commercial analytical skills – We require strong analytical and numerical skills
- Leadership – this is a senior role to drive the operational core of the business. Leadership skills are vital to achieve the desired outcomes and drive the right behaviours in the broader team.
- Multi-tasking and strong organisational skills; being a small business there will be a lot to juggle across multiple projects and opportunities
- Attention to detail – you will need to review documents and spreadsheets and have a clear eye for detail.
- Project Management Skills – you will need to manage tasks, deadlines and have one other staff member supporting you.
- Autonomy - We are a small business so require a level of autonomy to grow and shape the business
- Driven – We are a small company experiencing rapid growth so are looking for determined individuals to drive the business forward.
- Strong communication skills and good English
- Continuous Improvement - We are a small business so rely on continuous improvement for growth
- Develops self and others - We expect all team members to share knowledge and support the upskilling of each other.

You will report into the Managing Director and the Commercial Director.
The role will be based at our clients central London offices.
In return our clients are offering an attractive negotiable salary in the region of £50-55k to start plus the opportunity to build a key role within a successful operation.
