Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate good team working skills. As a Preschool assistant, you will be responsible for helping to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential in ensuring a positive learning experience.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging plans that cater to the individual needs of children in the nursery setting.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Manage classroom behaviour by implementing positive discipline strategies and promoting respect among students.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the overall educational experience for children.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress in accordance with early childhood education standards.

Experience

  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or preschool environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong team working skills with the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development is crucial.
