Accounts Payable Team – Multiple Openings

Glent Group
, a dynamic CSA specialist in Groundworks, Concrete Works, Underground Services, Structural Alterations, and External Works, is headquartered in London and operates across Europe. Due to our recent growth and project wins in Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Finland, we have several openings to fill in our Accounts Payable team.

We are seeking skilled and motivated finance professionals to join our expanding team.

Accounts Payable Ledger Clerk

Role Overview:

Working within the Finance Department and reporting to the Accounts Payable Ledger Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expenses, and payments across multiple projects and European territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, expenses, and PCNs
  • Ensure correct coding of invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, and verify invoice approvals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions
  • Respond to supplier and internal queries promptly and professionally
  • Liaise with project and procurement teams as needed
  • Support the Accounts Payable Ledger Supervisor and management team

Essential & Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • AAT student/graduate or equivalent accounting knowledge
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or finance administration
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and MS Teams
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines

Accounts Payable Ledger Supervisor

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Ledger Supervisor, you will lead and support the accounts payable team, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial processes. This role involves team management, process optimisation, and direct interaction with project and procurement teams across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and support the Accounts Payable team to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
  • Allocate and review workloads to optimise efficiency
  • Liaise with procurement and project teams to resolve invoice or PO issues
  • Provide guidance on complex queries and escalate where needed
  • Assist with processing expense reports and PCNs
  • Prepare, review, and process weekly payment runs
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions
  • Reconcile supplier statements and promptly resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation
  • Continuously review processes to identify and suggest improvements

Essential & Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent accounting certification
  • Experience managing Accounts Payable within a shared service or multi-entity organisation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
