Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, your duties will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and improving our Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (FSMS & QMS)
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, allergen control, and food safety
  • Creating risk assessments and conducting environmental swabbing
  • Monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs) and temperature logs
  • Leading internal audits (GMP, hygiene, food safety) and documenting findings
  • Creating and updating SOPs, policies, and training materials
  • Reviewing production records, cleaning schedules, and fridge/freezer logs
  • Investigating customer complaints and preparing corrective action reports
  • Performing traceability and mock recalls
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Leading New Product Development (NPD) from concept to launch
  • Creating product specifications, labels, nutritional information, establish shelf life of the product and do necessary analyses to get information accurately.
  • Approving suppliers and maintaining BRC certification records
  • Performing equipment calibration and maintaining calibration logs
  • Managing third-party accreditation standards (e.g., BRC) and leading BRC audits and another external audits.
  • Training staff on food safety and quality procedures.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Food Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in food manufacturing, with at least 2 years in Quality Assurance
  • Proven experience with BRC, SALSA, or M&S audits
  • Strong understanding of traceability systems and hygiene practices in high-care environments
  • HACCP Level 3 certification
  • Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional relationships
  • People management and training capabilities
