At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
Jacobs is seeking an Events Co-ordinator to join our European Marketing & Communications team. This pivotal role shapes and delivers exceptional hybrid and in‑person events that strengthen relationships, showcase expertise, and drive business growth across our markets. The Events Lead will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of industry conferences, client engagement sessions, awards, and thought‑leadership roundtables, as well as select client‑facing events at Jacobs' London Cottons Centre. From strategy to execution, you will ensure every event reflects Jacobs' brand values and delivers meaningful impact.
You will work closely with colleagues across Jacobs' global strategic events marketing team, the European M&C team, and senior business leaders to align event content and messaging with our broader strategy. You will also partner with communications and design teams to develop collateral, invitations, and promotional materials, while ensuring consistency with Jacobs' global event standards.
This position combines strategic vision with hands‑on delivery. You will collaborate with colleagues across Europe and globally. At the same time, you will manage logistics end‑to‑end, from venue sourcing and supplier management to onsite coordination, ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
Continuous improvement will be a key focus, with responsibility for tracking performance against KPIs, leading post‑event reviews, and providing insights to inform future planning and investment.
At Jacobs, you'll be part of a culture that values creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Every event you deliver will contribute to strengthening client relationships, enhancing our market presence, and driving growth across Europe.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related discipline
- Proven experience planning and delivering high-quality, multi-stakeholder events across multiple markets
- Strong ability to think strategically while managing detailed, hands-on delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial and budget management skills
- Confidence in working both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, global organization.
- Willingness to travel as required
