We are currently seeking a creative, ambitious and committed individual to join our team as a Registration Officer at Neath Port Talbot Register Office. As a Registration Officer at Neath Port Talbot Register Office, you will play a vital part in supporting our community by registering life events such as births, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships. You will assist and deputise for the Superintendent Registrar, ensuring all statutory duties are fulfilled with accuracy and empathy. The Register Office prides itself on providing excellent service to the public

As a Registration Officer you will register life events

Your daily routine will include

• Conducting face-to-face appointments for birth or death registrations
• issuing official documents following registration
• Taking legal notices of marriages and civil partnerships
• Maintaining accurate computerised records
• producing and taking payment for copies certificates
• keeping precise and confidential records
• To officiate or register civil ceremonies at the Register Office and approved premises within the district
• Provide outstanding customer service to all visitors.

• The ability to manage a number of processes confidently and effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to offer empathy and a warm and professional approach to sensitive issues

There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided
