The Senior Social Media Specialist will facilitate and execute Betway UK's social media strategy across the region, driving brand engagement, customer acquisition, and retention through compelling content and campaigns focused on popular sports such as football alongside our casino offerings. This role will be pivotal in shaping Betway's voice and presence across platforms, ensuring alignment with brand values and regulatory standards. There will be multiple brands to work on such as Jackpot City and Hippodrome Casino online, with some crossover to global markets. Betway has a roster of global ambassadors and partnerships that you will be working closely with, this includes; Thierry Henry, Ottawa Senators, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and many more.
What you'll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic leadership across all social media platform.
- Implement the global social media strategy across sports & casino verticals.
- Assist the HOS in expanding Super Group's social ecosystem.
- Align content and campaigns with broader marketing goals and brand positioning.
- Content & Campaign management – utilise productivity tools and smart planning to deliver relevant, timely and engaging content.
- Boosting and paid campaign support to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
- Curate and schedule high-impact content across all platforms (Meta, Snapchat, X, TikTok, YouTube).
- Collaborate with design and wider social media teams to produce engaging multimedia assets.
- Lead real-time and reactive coverage of major sporting events and cultural moments.
- Community Management – Daily 'fan-first', human approach to solving problems and nurturing our audience. Working with the Customer Service team to enable an efficient system to resolve issues fast.
- Reporting and tracking KPIs – Collect and analyse performance data to optimise the strategy for maximum performance. Providing actionable recommendations based on insights and expertise to the HOS.
- Stakeholder collaboration with global teams including Marketing, Digital, Social Media and Sponsorship.
- Brand Guardian – work closely with the compliance and legal teams to ensure that output is always compliant with the UK Gaming commission and responsible gaming standards.
- Develop influencer marketing strategies - Liaise with influencers, partnerships and external agencies.
- Maintain brand values, tone of voice and consistency across all social media channels.
- Always uphold and protect Betway's brand integrity.
- Curate and lead social activations around key events.

Essential skills you'll bring to the table

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively

- Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some the following skills:
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
- Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
