Readers in Digital Engineering and Transformation

We are currently recruiting for Readers with expertise, and an interest in, Digital Engineering and Transformation to join us.

Building on Loughborough's leadership in engineering, construction, and design innovation, we're seeking experts in:

• Digital Twins: Explore digital-first engineering approaches, with applications in cyber-physical systems, construction, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure management.

• Digital Construction Methods: Enhance our expertise in digital design and fabrication, BIM, off-site construction and automation.

• Digital and High Value Manufacturing Processes: Advanced and additive manufacturing, condition monitoring and digital validation of products and processes: robotics and autonomous systems through-life engineering tools; materials science of novel manufacturing processes; novel processing methods for functional and structural ceramics.

• Sports Technology: Develop technologies to enhance the experience, performance and safety of those engaging in sport, including intelligent textiles and wearable technologies.

What we're looking for

Successful candidates will have a sustained and continuing record of excellence which has contributed to the furtherance of knowledge in their discipline and is recognised in a well-established and high-profile international reputation. Evidence of significant academic leadership and a PhD, or equivalent research experience, are also essential.
