Mechanical Design Engineer, £45,000-£48,000, Loughborough

Company profile:

A world class manufacturing business in Loughborough is currently expanding and is looking for a Project Engineer to join them on their journey.

They're incredibly well known in the Electrical Engineering industry for their innovative products, including Switchgears, transformers, generators and many more. They're a trusted partner to companies across the globe in a variety of industries, including Power Companies, Large industrial plants, infrastructure development and renewable energy projects.

The role:

Working in the Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing Transformers and reactors up to 132kv.

Sponsorship can be provided for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce mechanical designs of transformers.
  • Prepare manufacturing/customer drawings.
  • Check and approve supplier drawings.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of transformer design and optimisation.

Necessary experience:

  • Previous experience Designing Transformers.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor
